Black Box Gallery Photo Shoot Exhibition

Black Box Gallery is accepting photography submissions for an exhibition running October 1-20, 2015, with an opening reception on Friday, October 2, 6-8:00 pm. The gallery will select 24 photographs for physical exhibition and an additional 30 photographs for their online gallery annex. All 54 selected photographs will be included in a catalog available for purchase on Blurb Books.

Submissions must include 1-5 images in high resolution Tiff or JPEG format. The entry fee is $35.00. The exhibition is open to all photographers worldwide, both amateur and professional. Juror Todd Johnson, founder and director of Black Box Gallery, is an experimental and conceptual photographer with an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and over twenty years of experience as a photographer, educator, and curator.

Black Box Gallery provides free printing, matting, and framing for all selected works using an Epson Stylus Pro archival inkjet printer on Epson Premium Luster Photo paper. Prints are produced in 18" x 24" black frames with white mats pre-cut for 12" x 18", 12" x 12", and 12" x 16" sizes. Exhibition prints will be retained in the gallery's flat files after the show for future promotion and sale. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on all sales, with 50% going to the photographer. Artists may opt for their print to be for exhibition and promotion only, not for sale. All rights to photographs remain with the photographer.
