About This Call
Crooked Tree Arts Center invites Michigan artists to submit work for the exhibition "Bitter and Beauty: Winter's Truth in the Midwest." This exhibit explores the many facets of winter, inviting artists of all mediums to reflect on the season and its impact. Whether inspired by snow-covered landscapes, icy winds, long nights, or warmth found within, artists are encouraged to share their interpretation of winter in the Midwest. $1000 in prizes will be awarded.

All work must arrive assembled and stable for safety. 3D wall-hanging works should not exceed 40 inches in any dimension or weigh more than 50 pounds. 3D freestanding works should not exceed 8 feet in height and 4 feet in width. Diptychs and triptychs are allowed but must be submitted and priced as one piece. Artists may submit up to three entries. The entry fee is $30.00 per artist ($20.00 for CTAC members, free for Guild members).
