Bitfactory Gallery Call for Entries

Bitfactory Gallery invites artists to submit original two-dimensional artwork for exhibition. Artists may submit up to three individual pieces with a maximum of three images total. The entry fee is $35 for up to three artworks, and all fees are nonrefundable. The deadline for entries is October 1, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

Accepted artwork must be original design and personal execution, completed within the last two years and not previously shown at Bitfactory Gallery. Eligible media includes photography, painting, collage, fiber/textile, mixed media, wood, glass, and printed works for which the artist's hand manipulated the plates, stones, or screens. Giclée prints and open-ended or poster prints are not permitted. The maximum size for two-dimensional work is 40" X 40" (including frame). All artwork must be wired and ready to hang upon arrival, with unframed edges finished and no staples. Wall-hanging artwork must weigh less than 35 pounds. Artists are responsible for all insurance covering their artwork while on display.

Shipped artwork must arrive by November 8, 2019. Hand delivery is available November 8-9, 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The exhibition runs November 15, 2019 - January 9, 2020, with an opening reception on November 15 at 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Artist notification is October 15, 2019. Awards include Best of Show ($250), First, Second, and Honorable Mention. Work must be available for sale; Bitfactory Gallery retains a 30% commission on sales. Artwork pickup is January 10-11, 2020, 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Any work left after five days will incur a $10 per day storage fee. Work left for more than two weeks will be considered abandoned and subject to sale or disposal without notification.
