About This Call
BIPOC is The Theme! is a national juried exhibition for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) artists. The exhibition runs April 8 - May 14, 2022 at Buckham Gallery in Flint, Michigan. Juror Tyanna J. Buie will select works for the exhibition and awards.
Eligibility: This call is for BIPOC artists. Artists must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the USA. All work must be original in concept and open media (visual art). Submitted images must represent the work's true appearance and not be digitally altered.
Submission Requirements: Each artist may submit 3 works for $25, with an additional $5 fee for each additional image up to 6 total images. Submissions must be made via CaFE by November 15, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
Prizes: First prize $750; Second prize $500; Third prize $250. Additionally, up to three artists will be selected for feature exhibitions in the 2023-2024 season and will receive a $500 honorarium. Awards will be selected by juror Tyanna J. Buie once the show is installed. Artists will be notified of awards by April 9, 2021.
