Bike Art at the Dairy 2013

The Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder, Colorado invites submissions for Bike Art at the Dairy 2013, a juried exhibition celebrating bicycle art and culture. Visual art in all mediums except jewelry and video will be considered, including images of bicycles, bicycle events and culture, and art made from bicycle parts. All works will be judged based on creativity, originality and execution. Video submissions must be limited to 30 minutes or less and submitted in MOV, AVI, WMV, MPG or MPG4 format at high resolution (up to 1080P). Selected videos will be shown in The Dairy's Boedecker Theater during opening events on December 5, 2013 and throughout the exhibition period on monitors in the galleries.

Eligibility is open to all living artists from the United States. Up to five artworks or video works may be submitted for a $25 entry fee. All works must be offered for sale, and The Dairy retains a 40% commission on sales. Weight and size limitations apply: wall art must not exceed 35 pounds; three-dimensional work must not exceed 250 pounds or 84 inches in height or width. Artists whose works are accepted may also submit one miniature work. Entry deadline is November 3, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notification will be sent by November 7, 2013. Accepted works must be delivered between November 21-27, 2013. The exhibition runs December 5, 2013 – January 17, 2014. Cash awards ranging from $50 to $500 and one or more purchase awards will be made. Jurors include members of The Dairy's Visual Arts Committee and Cinema Programming Committee.
