About This Call
Celebrating its 48th year, the Bigfork Festival is an established art festival in Montana featuring more than 150 booths representing a wide variety of art and crafts by nationally recognized artists and craftsmen. The festival takes place on Electric Avenue in downtown Bigfork on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with estimated attendance of more than 6,000 visitors. The festival fills the main street with fine arts, crafts, food, music, and entertainment.
Applications are accepted from both artists and non-artist vendors. Applicants must submit 5 images of current work and 1 booth display image. The application deadline is April 30, 2026. Early bird applications submitted before March 31, 2026 have a $30 non-refundable application fee; applications received after March 31 have a $45 fee. Selection is based on a 5-7 member jury committee that evaluates work for quality conception and execution, imagination, individuality, and craftsmanship. Jury notification occurs June 1, 2026.
Only artists and craftsmen displaying their own work are eligible; no commercial production work or kits are accepted. Exhibitors must furnish their own display facilities. Booth sizes and fees are: 10x12 ($215 tear-down/$255 no tear-down), 10x16 ($240 tear-down/$280 no tear-down), 10x20 ($255 tear-down/$295 no tear-down). This show requires Saturday night tear-down and Sunday morning reset to allow downtown businesses to operate normally on Saturday evening. Overnight booths are offered based on jury score for an additional fee. Setup begins early Saturday morning, August 1st and must be completed by 9:00 a.m. Festival dates are August 1-2, 2026. No alcoholic beverages or pets are allowed. The application fee is non-refundable; booth fee refunds are addressed on an individual basis.
