About This Call
The 72nd Annual Undergraduate Art Exhibition is open to BGSU undergraduate students. Senior art students planning to submit their 2024 BFA Senior Thesis are not eligible. Students may submit up to six total artworks, with a maximum of three entries per class category. Artwork must be entered in the correct class category as determined by the class in which the work was made.
Work samples may include images, audio, and video files (up to 5 of each type, with a minimum of 1 and maximum of 5 total samples per entry). For animation, video, and interactive work, students should upload an image or screenshot and include a full URL link to Vimeo, YouTube, or a high-resolution folder of files in the media description. Entries are submitted through CaFÉ at callforentry.org. Acceptance notifications will be sent on February 9th.
The exhibition runs February 12-26, 2024 at the Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery. More than $3,000 in scholarships and prizes will be awarded, including The James W. Strong Tuition Scholarships, The Charles Lakofsky Art Award, The Craig A. Schnuth Memorial Art Glass Scholarship, The Silvia Passerini Davenport Award, The John and Norma Richards Design Award, The Medici Circle Best of Show Award, The College of Arts & Sciences Purchase Award, and The Alumni Association Award. Accepted artwork must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition. Work is not insured. Artwork may be offered for sale; if for sale, the price should include a 25% commission to the gallery.
