About This Call

The 70th Annual Undergraduate Art Exhibition is open to BGSU undergraduate students. Senior art students planning to submit a 2021 BFA Senior Thesis are not eligible. Entries are open from November 15 through January 15, 2021.

Submit up to six total artworks, with a maximum of three entries per class category. Artwork must be entered in the correct class category as determined by the class in which the work was made. Each entry represents one artwork; you may submit up to three detail/views of that specific artwork. Submit digital images (1-3 images per artwork) through CaFÉ at callforentry.org. For animation, video, or interactive work, upload an image or screenshot and include a link to Vimeo, YouTube, or a high-resolution folder in the description. Title and media information must be correctly spelled with no abbreviations.

Acceptance notifications will be available January 26 via CaFÉ. Accepted artwork must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition (February 14-28, 2021). More than $3,000 in scholarships and prizes will be awarded, including The James W. Strong Tuition Scholarships, The Charles Lakofsky Art Award, The Craig A. Schnuth Memorial Art Glass Scholarship, The Silvia Passerini Davenport Award, The John and Norma Richards Design Award, The Medici Circle Best of Show Award, The College of Arts & Sciences Purchase Award, and The Alumni Association Award. Artwork may be for sale; if selling, include a 20% commission in your price, or mark as NFS (not for sale). Work in this exhibition is not insured. Students who submit work are expected to volunteer for at least one shift on a show committee. Contact Jacqui Nathan, Gallery Director, at [email protected] with questions.
