About This Call
The 69th Annual Undergraduate Art Exhibition invites submissions from BGSU undergraduate students. Artists may submit up to six total artworks, with a maximum of three entries per class category. Artwork must be entered in the correct class category based on the course in which it was made, including categories for First Year Program, Animation/Video/Interactive, Digital Imaging, Graphic Design, Ceramics, Drawing, Glass, Jewelry/Metals, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture.
Submissions are made through CaFÉ (CallForEntry.org). Each entry represents one artwork; artists may include up to two additional detail images of that same artwork. For Animation/Video/Interactive work, upload an image or screenshot with a link to Vimeo, YouTube, or a high-resolution file in the description. The exhibition runs February 17 through March 3, 2020, at the Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery in the Fine Arts Center. Accepted artwork must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.
More than $3,000 in scholarships and prizes will be awarded, including The James W. Strong Tuition Scholarships, The Charles Lakofsky Art Award, The Craig A. Schnuth Memorial Art Glass Scholarship, The Silvia Passerini Davenport Award, The John and Norma Richards Design Award, The Medici Circle Best of Show Award, The College of Arts & Sciences Purchase Award, The Alumni Association Award, and the BG Art on Show Award. Selected works may be photographed for publicity purposes. Work is not insured. Artists who submit are expected to volunteer for at least one shift on a show committee. Artwork may be offered for sale; if for sale, price should include a 20% commission. Contact Jacqui Nathan, Gallery Director, at [email protected] with questions.
