About This Call
931 Gallery invites all Colorado artists to apply for a group exhibition in the Santa Fe Arts District in Denver, Colorado. The gallery receives over 600 visitors a month including collectors and tourists, with visibility on First Friday Art Walks. The Artist's Reception will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 5-9 pm. Exhibition dates are March 7 - April 6, 2025.
This exhibition explores layers, light, and shadows beyond the surface, concurrent with other events for Month of Photography. Mixed media and 3D approaches are welcome as long as the primary medium is photography. Artists are encouraged to use the description field in their application to provide additional context about their images. The juror is Dan Havlik, editor in chief of Wild Eye magazine, who has served as editor in chief of Outdoor Photographer and Shutterbug magazines.
Eligibility: Artists must be Colorado residents. Artwork must be original work in photography created within the past 3 years (2022-2025). Framed and 2D work must be ready to hang with hanging wire or D-rings, not exceed 3 feet in any direction, and weigh less than 100 lbs. Sculpture should not exceed 3 feet in any direction. This exhibition is hand-deliver and pick-up in person only and does not accept shipped work. Entry fee: $35.00 plus $5.00 media fee. Submit 3-5 JPG images. Images must be cropped to exclude framing and background and must represent the work exactly.
