BEYOND THE SCARS

Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit artwork to an online exhibition titled BEYOND THE SCARS. The theme celebrates imperfection in art, inviting artists to show how accidents and errors are transformed into elements of beauty. Artists are encouraged to share their perspective on embracing the imperfections of the creative process.

Submissions must be received by Friday, June 7, 2024 at midnight MST. Accepted pieces will be displayed in the online gallery at www.art-fluent.com, with notification of acceptance by Friday, July 5, 2024. Awards include Best of Show ($750) and two Director's Choice awards ($250 each). All accepted pieces are displayed in the online gallery, and artists receive 100% of any sales.

Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 20 total entries. Work must be original and not copied or created under instructor guidance. All fine art mediums are accepted (oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, ceramics, film/video, digital art), except AI-generated work. Images must be submitted as JPEG/JPG format, minimum 1,200 pixels on the longest side, maximum 5 MB. Video formats accepted include MOV, MP4, WMV with aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9, resolution minimum 640x480, maximum 1920x1080, file size under 100 MB. Diptychs and triptychs should be uploaded as a single image. Selection is by director's choice, curated by Creative Director Amy Matteson Neill and an anonymous committee of jurors. No personal feedback is provided by jurors. A portion of entry fee proceeds is donated to arts organizations.
