Beyond Choreography, Visual Interpretations of Movement

2016 Open Juried Regional Exhibition hosted by ALRI/The VETS Gallery at One Avenue of the Arts, Providence, RI. Artists residing in NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, VT, ME, or NH may participate. Jurors: Bob Dilworth (artist/educator) and Audrey Monahan (photographer). Top award: $1,000. Additional awards may be announced.

Artists should interpret the theme "Beyond Choreography, Visual Interpretations of Movement" in their respective medium. All media accepted. Artists may submit up to two entries. Entry fee: $40 (includes first image); second image fee: $15. ALRI members receive discounted rates ($30 for application entry fee, $10 for second image). Artwork must be original, created in the last 3 years, and exhibition-ready. Previously exhibited work with ALRI is not permitted. Reprints and copied work are not accepted. Artwork must be appropriate for viewers of all ages. Maximum size: 48" wide by 72" high including frame. 3D work footprint must be 24" x 24" or less with weight limit of 35 lbs. Installation pieces must include detailed electrical requirement descriptions.

Registration deadline: Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Notification of acceptance: Monday, August 8, 2016. Exhibition dates: September 1 - October 28, 2016. Opening reception: Thursday, September 8, 2016, 5:30 - 8:00 pm. Hand delivery only: Monday, August 29, 10 am - 3 pm and Tuesday, August 30, Noon - 5 pm. Pickup of accepted work: Tuesday, November 1st and Wednesday, November 2nd, Noon - 6 pm. Sales encouraged; ALRI takes 30% commission from members and 40% from non-members.
