Best / Worst / Undecided

The Lab on Santa Fe presents "Best / Worst / Undecided," an exhibition exploring the artist's perception of their own work. The exhibition uses insecurity as a form of inquiry, letting process become product. Artists are invited to submit three images: a work they consider their "best" (must be for sale), a work they consider their "worst" or one that has given them significant trouble, and a work they remain undecided about. Please explain your choices in relation to this prompt in your artist statement.

Work must not exceed 36" on its longest side, including frame. All images should be submitted at the highest resolution possible. Measurements must be accurate on the application, as the curator may reject work at drop-off if dimensions are incorrect. If accepted, artwork must be available for in-person drop-off on Sunday, July 7th between 12-2pm. Work must have a wire hanger attached to the back, and artwork on paper must be framed.

Entry fee is $35.00. Eligibility is limited to local Colorado artists. The exhibition runs July 12 - August 10, 2024, with August First Friday being the primary event in Denver's Art District.
