Best of the East Coast

311 Gallery invites artists residing on or near the East Coast of the United States to submit work for a physical exhibition in Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, running December 3, 2021 through January 1, 2022. An opening reception will be held on December 3, 2021 in-person at the gallery. A Best in Show Award of $500 will be given to one selected work via jurying.

Eligible works include all mediums (painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, etc.) and must not exceed 72 inches in any dimension. Works must be for sale and suitable for gallery display. Artists may submit up to 4 works; the first work costs $20 to enter, with additional works at $5 each. Works will be accepted on a piece-by-piece basis due to space limitations. Submissions are juried using JPEGs (one per work, minimum 1000px at widest dimension, up to 2000px, not exceeding 4MB). For 3D work requiring multiple perspective images, additional JPEGs may be emailed to [email protected] with "East Coast 3D" in the subject line. Video and audio submissions are not eligible.

Entry deadline is 11:59 p.m. CST November 12, 2021. Artists will be notified of acceptance status approximately 3-5 days after the deadline. If accepted, artwork must be received by the gallery no later than November 26, 2021 at 4 p.m. Drop-off dates are November 18-19 and 26 (12-4 p.m.) and November 20 and 27 (12-6 p.m.). 2D works must hang by wire or acceptable means; 3D works must stand with no or minimal assistance or include necessary display items. The gallery provides pedestals and tables for free-standing works. Commission is 60% artist, 40% gallery, with payment mailed approximately 30 days after sale.
