About This Call
Denver's Art District on Santa Fe is Colorado's first designated art district, known for its vibrant and eclectic corridor of galleries and shops. The district attracts start-up and established artists and hosts the largest 1st Friday art walk in the country. On Santa Fe Drive, visitors can explore artistic expression in all forms, including photography, ceramics, theatre, music, dance, and prominent gallery exhibits.
This is the 5th Annual Best of Santa Fe Exhibit and Awards, showcasing the best of Santa Fe Drive exhibited artists from the past year. The exhibition will take place from November 6 through November 24 at Habitat Gallery, located at 828 Santa Fe Drive. An Awards Gala honoring the "Best in Show" will be held on November 20th from 7 to 9 pm.
The call for artists will be judged by three prominent individuals in the Colorado arts community: Mark Lunning of Open Press, Carol Ann Waugh of aBuzz Gallery, and Cayce Goldberg of Helikon Gallery. Entry fee is $35.00. Submissions must include 1-3 images. Application deadline is October 9, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
