About This Call
Entering its 25th year, the Berkshires Arts Festival has become a 4th of July summer tradition in Great Barrington, MA, attracting thousands of art lovers who come to the Berkshires for theater, dance, music, and art. While most cultural events take place in the evening, the Berkshires Arts Festival has become the chosen daytime attraction for thousands of visitors. Artists across the country have discovered a strong customer base for higher-priced work and the potential to produce significant sales.
All work must be hand made in the USA or Canada by the exhibiting artist. Categories accepted include 2D Mixed Media, Ceramics, Drawing, Digital-Media, Fiber (Wearable and Decorative), Furniture, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, Mixed Media, Photography, Painting, Sculpture, and Wood. Richard & Joanna Rothbard, the show's producers and owners of An American Craftsman Galleries, will select artists based on originality of design, technical expertise, overall aesthetics, and presentation. The festival features 185 exhibitors with outdoor, tented, and indoor spaces available, including air-conditioned Upper Lodge spaces.
The application deadline is January 19th with a $45 non-refundable application fee. Booth fees are due March 18th and range from $595-$1,670 depending on location and size. Show hours are Friday July 4 (10am-6pm), Saturday July 5 (10am-6pm), and Sunday July 6 (10am-5pm). Setup is Thursday July 3 from 9am-7pm with no arrivals after 5pm. Jury notification will be emailed within three weeks of the application deadline.
