Being Seen: Regional Juried Exhibition 2022

"Being Seen" is a regional, juried exhibition open to artists 18+ living in Maryland, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware (except those currently represented by TAG/The Artists Gallery). The exhibition theme explores identity and self-expression: "Everyone is unique. We move through our lives working, traveling, sharing, caring, communicating. How do you feel you are being seen? How would you like to be seen?" Artists may submit original paintings, drawings, prints, mixed media, photographs, and sculpture created within the last three years. No giclees, digital prints, or videos are accepted.

Entry fee is $35 for one work and $10 for each additional work (up to 3 works total). Submit 1-3 JPEG images at 72dpi, minimum 1,200 pixels on the longest side, maximum 5MB file size, sRGB color profile. Label files as: LastName_FirstName_Title.jpg. All wall-hung work including frame may not exceed 48 inches in width or height or 6 inches in depth with a maximum weight of 30 lbs. Floor sculpture has a maximum width or depth of 30 inches, height of 72 inches, and weight of 50 lbs. Sculpture on an 18" x 18" pedestal has a height limit of 30 inches. All work must be framed or cleanly finished and ready for hanging.

Juror: Matt Klos, MFA from University of Maryland, College Park. Awards: First Prize $500, Second Prize $250, Third Prize $125, and three Honorable Mentions of $50 each. Exhibition dates: March 4-27, 2022 at 501 N Market St., Frederick, MD. Reception with judge's remarks and awards: Saturday, March 5, 5-8pm. Work delivery: Sunday, February 27 or Monday, February 28, 3-7pm. Artist notification by February 15. TAG/The Artists Gallery receives 30% commission on work sold. Artists are responsible for insuring their artwork.
