Behind the Veil: IPHF International Photo Competition

Behind the Veil: IPHF International Photo Competition is a juried international photography competition open to artists 18 years of age or older. The competition focuses on reflections on veiled reality, emergence and obfuscation, and interpretations (both literal and metaphorical) of hidden mysteries and inner truths revealed. Submissions are open May 1 – June 30, 2024, with an entry deadline of July 9, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

Two-dimensional photographic works in all subjects and disciplines are eligible, including work derived from traditional or digital processes. Work must be original and never previously exhibited at IPHF or its website. Artwork created primarily from generative A.I. and three-dimensional work are not eligible. Image files must be JPEG formatted in RGB color mode, sized with either width or height at approximately 1600 pixels while maintaining aspect ratio. Submissions must include a minimum of 3 images and a maximum of 10 images.

Entry fees are $35 for non-members plus $10 per additional image submitted beyond the first three. IPHF Photographer's Circle Members receive their first three photos free, plus $10 per additional image. Awards include: Grand Prize $1000, First Place $500, Second Place $250, and Third Place $100. Selected works will be included in an online exhibition at iphf.org. The competition is juried by Elizabeth Opalenik. All entrants will be informed of acceptance or declination via email.
