Beginnings

Kat Payge Art invites artists to apply to the inaugural group exhibition "Beginnings," running September 21 - October 18. The exhibition theme explores the concept of beginnings and how each artist interprets this universal idea. Artists are encouraged to consider questions such as: Where do I go from here? Do we look back or ahead? The art represented demonstrates individual interpretations of this concept.

Juror Kat Payge owns and runs Kat Payge Art, a fine art gallery located in the Art District on Santa Fe in Denver, Colorado. She is an abstract mixed media artist who has been creating work for almost 20 years, primarily in acrylics and water soluble oils on claybord and handcrafted journals.

Submission Requirements: Artists may submit 1-3 works. Both 2D and 3D artwork are accepted. 2D artwork must not exceed 24" x 24" in either direction. 3D artwork must be no bigger than 15" x 15" at the base. Artwork must be ready to hang and wired; sawtooth hangers will not be accepted. Artwork must be shipped without packing peanuts and must include a return shipment label and packaging. Entry fee is $30. Kat Payge Art collects 40% commission. Acceptance notices will be emailed August 31, 2018. Accepted artwork is due September 14, 2018. Artwork pickup dates are October 19 and 20, 2018. Artwork left in the gallery after October 20 will not be held.
