Beginning: New History and Artistic Growth

BlueStream Gallery is hosting an open call for California artists of all disciplines and experience levels for a group exhibition titled "Beginning: New History and Artistic Growth" running August 31 to September 13, 2023. The gallery invites applications from artists working in two-dimensional or three-dimensional media, encouraging interpretations of history and beginnings with the aim to stimulate dialogue about our collective future.

Eligibility is open to all California artists 18 years or older working in visual art mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage, and installation art. Photography, video, and sound art are not accepted. All artwork must be original creations for sale. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Two-dimensional work must not exceed 40" width x 40" height. Three-dimensional work must not exceed 18" length x 18" width x 30" height. Hung pieces may not exceed 50lbs in weight.

Entry deadline is August 6, 2023. Entry fee is $30.00. Submissions must include 3 to 5 artworks and follow the competition theme. Winners will be notified August 13, 2023. The opening reception is September 2, 2023. Selected entries will be exhibited in the gallery, and the winner will have solo exhibitions at the gallery in 2024 (exact period to be discussed).
