About This Call
Begin/Again is an art exhibition celebrating possibility, open to all California State University Northridge Arts Alumni Members. The exhibition runs June 2-25, 2022 at Open Mind Art Space, 11631 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, California.
The exhibition seeks to uplift viewers through work that explores joy, positivity, and hope for the future. Coming out of a global pandemic, the exhibition considers notions of the past and present and wonder about the future, addressing the emotional toll of this shared experience and feelings of uncertainty. The exhibition is juried by artist, gallerist and entrepreneur Alison Limtavemongkol of Open Mind Art Space, Los Angeles.
All media are accepted. 2D work must be wall-hanging ready. Maximum 3D dimension must be able to fit through a standard doorway. Work samples may include up to 3 images and/or 3 videos, with a minimum of 1 total sample required. Submission deadline is May 3, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artist notification is May 16, 2022. Dropoff is by Thursday, May 26th. A closing reception will be held June 25, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Alumni must register with the Arts Alumni Chapter to be eligible.
