Bee Habitat Call for Artists

The Johnson County Park and Recreation District (JCPRD) Public Art Program is commissioning four regional artists to create functional, aesthetically rich habitats for solitary native bees. Artists will collaborate closely with JCPRD’s Public Art and Natural Resources teams to ensure ecological accuracy, material safety, and durability. Community engagement—including workshops, hands-on building activities, and a public reveal—will be integrated throughout the process to foster public awareness and participation.
