Bear Gallery 2023 Exhibition

The Visual Arts Committee of Fairbanks Arts Association invites artists and artisans residing in Alaska to submit digital images of their work for possible solo, group, or curated exhibitions in the Bear Gallery for the year 2023. Every month, the Bear Gallery shows two fine arts exhibitions by Alaskan artists/artist groups working in a variety of media. Portfolios are reviewed by a panel of professional Alaskan artists and are chosen solely on the merit of the work samples entered.

Eligibility is open to Alaska residents ages 18 or older. An individual artist or group of artists may have an exhibition in the Bear Gallery once every four years. Artists and/or groups who have had an exhibition prior to 2019 are eligible for consideration this year (curated exhibits are not subject to this policy). Artists may submit only one solo proposal. Curated and group exhibits must have an organizing representative.

Submit up to 10 images of work completed in the last 5 years (if approved, artwork must be completed within the last 2 years). Group exhibits of more than 5 artists should submit two images per artist. Include an artist resume (not to exceed two pages, PDF format) and a brief artist statement or statement of exhibit intent. Up to three video files may be uploaded. Entry fee is $35.00 for non-members or $30.00 for current Fairbanks Arts Association members (contact [email protected] for member coupon code).
