Baxter St at CCNY 2015 Workspace Residency Program

Baxter St at CCNY invites emerging photographers living in New York City to apply for the Workspace Residency Program. This residency offers local photographers workspace in New York City as well as access to the Baxter St at CCNY community and programs. Entering its 9th year, the program provides participating artists with three months of free access to B&W and Color darkrooms and digital workstations.

Residents receive three months of free access to the Digital labs and B&W and Color Darkroom facilities at the International Center of Photography, as well as the in-house Digital Workstations at Baxter St. Residents also receive free admission to all 2015 Baxter St at CCNY events, a monthly stipend and donated material support during their residency. Dependent on funding, each resident may receive a solo exhibition at Baxter St at CCNY after their term of residency.

All artists currently residing in New York City who are working in photography or lens-based art are eligible to apply. Students must have completed their studies on or before January 1, 2015 in order to be eligible. Living accommodations are not provided. Applicants must submit up to 10 images from a single body of work, a letter of intent (maximum 2000 characters) addressing what you aim to accomplish during the residency, a brief one-paragraph artist statement (maximum 2000 characters), and a one-page CV. A jury of photography professionals will consider all eligible applications.
