Bass River Press Cover Art Competition

Bass River Press is seeking original artwork for the cover of a second poetry collection by Rose Auslander. All media are accepted, including painting, drawing, photography, and photographs of three-dimensional work. Submissions may be pulled from an artist's existing collection or created in response to the poetry; both will be judged equally. Multiple submissions are accepted, with a separate $20 entry fee required for each submission. An additional $5 media fee applies for each image submitted.

Artwork submissions may be either vertical or horizontal in orientation. Images must be at least 8 inches long on the longest side at 300 dpi. Bass River Press reserves the right to request a new photograph of any artwork that does not meet hi-resolution and dpi requirements. Artists may submit between 1 and 20 images.

The winning artwork will be featured on the cover of the poetry collection to be published and distributed by Bass River Press. The selected artist will receive a $200 USD cash prize and two complimentary copies of the publication upon release in 2017. The competition is open to international artists. Entry deadline is December 31, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
