About This Call
Baker University invites national artists to apply to the Baker National exhibition (February 13–April 5, 2024) held in the Holt-Russell Gallery. All mediums are welcome except installation pieces and time-based pieces (videos, music, etc.). The Best in Show award is $500.00 and includes a solo show in the Holt-Russell Gallery during academic year 2023-24. Other awards will be given at juror discretion.
The Holt-Russell Gallery serves as a place for student, regional, and national contemporary artists to exhibit their work in a gallery setting, providing an educational experience for the Baker University Art Program and the Douglas County community.
Eligibility: Open to all artists over 18 living in the United States. All artwork must have been completed in the last 5 years (no earlier than 2018) and must be original work (no giclees or reproductions). Baker University faculty, staff, and students are ineligible. Entry fee is $35.00 for up to 5 artworks. Submit 1-3 images of your work. The juror is Ron Michael, director of the Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery in Lindsborg, with extensive experience in contemporary art curation and exhibition.
