About This Call
Baang + Burne Contemporary New Works Grant/Open Call 2013 is open to all visual artists age 18+ of all mediums. Artists can submit for either a $2,500 cash grant to create new works OR representation on the gallery roster with exhibit opportunities in 2014-15, but not both. Representation is a two-year non-exclusive contract.
For the cash grant, submit 5-10 images of the proposed project in process, preliminary sketches, location scout shots, or similar materials. Include a project description (500 words or less), CV, bio, project start date, estimated completion date, and a detailed expense list. For representation, submit 10 images of a complete body of work, CV, bio, and a 500-word artist statement. All artwork submitted for representation must be available for sale.
Entry fee is $35. Deadline: July 30, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. All submissions must be made through CallForEntry.org. The 10 finalists will be highlighted on the organization's blog.
