About This Call

Axis Gallery is pleased to present the 9th National Juried Exhibition, juried by Jenny Gheith, assistant curator of painting and sculpture at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The exhibition runs August 2-24, 2014, with a reception on August 9 from 6-9pm. Entry deadline is May 24, 2014. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email on June 14.

Open to artists residing in the U.S. All contemporary original 2D and 3D work in any media is accepted, including painting, prints, drawings, photography, and digital images. 2D work should not exceed 48" in the longest dimension when framed. 3D work is limited to 36" and not more than 60 lbs. All work must be original, produced within the last two years, and not previously shown at Axis Gallery. Submit 3-6 images. Entry fee is $35 for three images; additional images are $5.00 each.

Selected artists will receive cash awards and be invited to exhibit at Axis Gallery in December 2014. Work will be insured at the gallery but not in transit. The gallery will retain 40% commission on any work sold. Images of accepted work may be used for promotional purposes and featured in an exhibition catalogue.
