Axis Gallery 12th National Juried Exhibition

Axis Gallery is pleased to present the 12th National Juried Exhibition, juried by Mat Gleason, an internationally recognized art critic and curator of contemporary art.

Eligibility: Open to artists residing in the U.S. Contemporary original 2D and 3D work in any medium including painting, prints, drawings, photography and digital images is accepted (no video). 2D work should not exceed a framed size of 48" in the longest dimension. 3D work is limited to 36" and not more than 60 lbs. All work must be original (no reproductions), produced within the last two years and not previously shown at Axis Gallery. Submit 3-6 JPEG images according to CaFÉ guidelines.

Entry fee is $35 for three images, with additional entries at $10.00 each (limit 6 total). Notification of acceptance will be sent by email on June 26. Shipped work should arrive July 24-28, with hand delivery accepted July 28-30, 12-5 pm. The exhibition opens August 4 and closes August 27. A Second Saturday Reception is scheduled for August 12, 6-9 pm. Work will be insured at Axis Gallery but not in transit. The gallery will not assume responsibility for improperly framed or poorly packaged work. Sales are encouraged with the gallery retaining 40% commission. Cash awards and a printed exhibition catalogue will be provided. Images of accepted work may be used for promotional purposes and featured in the exhibition catalogue. Axis Gallery is an artist-run space that has been in operation for over 30 years, with a national reputation for bringing contemporary and challenging exhibitions to Sacramento.
