Axis Gallery 10th National Juried Exhibition

Axis Gallery is pleased to present the 10th National Juried Exhibition with Max Presneill as juror. Max Presneill is a Los Angeles-based artist and curator, originally from London, UK. He is the Head Curator for the Torrance Art Museum and Curatorial Director of ARTRA Curatorial, an independent curatorial projects management team. He has extensive international experience as a curator having organized exhibitions for museums, institutes and galleries in the US and UK, the Netherlands, Japan, France, Mexico, China, Turkey, Australia, and more. As an artist, he has shown throughout the world including New York, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Istanbul, Sydney, Guangzhou and Tokyo.

Open to artists residing in the U.S. Contemporary original 2D and 3D work in any media including painting, prints, drawings, photography and digital images (no video). 2D work should not exceed a framed size of 48" in the longest dimension. 3D work is limited to 36" and not more than 60 lbs. All work must be original (no reproductions), produced within the last two years and not previously shown at Axis Gallery. Submit 3-6 JPEG images. Entry fee is $35 for three images, with additional entries at $5.00 each.

Accepted artists will receive cash awards, an exhibition catalogue, and an invitational exhibition curated by Axis Gallery members in December 2015. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email on June 13. The exhibition opens July 31 and closes August 23. A Second Saturday Reception is scheduled for August 8, 6:00-9:00 pm. Sales are encouraged with the gallery retaining 40% commission. Work will be insured at Axis Gallery but not in transit. Shipped work will be returned at the close of the exhibition.
