Awakening

Pour-d is a contemporary gallery in Rockford, Michigan. The gallery invites artists to submit work to Awakening, a juried exhibition running April 11 through May 21, 2023. The exhibition explores the concept of awakening in its many forms—from a simple rousing from slumber to spiritual rebirth—and seeks to discover what awakening means to participating artists.

Submissions must include 1-5 images (JPEG format, at least 1000px at widest dimension, not exceeding 4MB per image). For 2D work, submit one JPEG per entry cropped to show only the artwork. For 3D work, submit up to three JPEGs (one full shot and up to two details). All work must be original, unsold, and owned solely by the artist. Entry fee is $20 for up to 5 images. The deadline for entries is February 11, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notifications are generally sent via email within 3 weeks of the call closing. Selected artists are invited to attend the opening reception.

Accepted artwork must be ready to hang with professional-quality frames, mats, and wiring in good condition. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and must include prepaid return labels. The gallery retains a 40% commission on all exhibition sales. Payment to artists will be provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. All mediums and genres are considered, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional work, digital art, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres.
