Awake

HMVC Gallery New York is hosting "Awake," their first group show. The theme "Awake" can be interpreted in many ways: literally, metaphorically, physically, psychically, spiritually—whatever way works best for you. The gallery welcomes artworks from all mediums of visual art, except video/film.

Artists can submit up to 3 artworks for the jurors' consideration. All properly prepared entries will be viewed and judged by jurors Heini Mika and Vincent Chang, whose decision is final. In the end, 1 artwork per artist will be included in the group show. If your work is misrepresented, the gallery reserves the right to refuse to feature your artwork in the show.

All artists participating in the group show will be awarded with a HMVC Gallery New York certificate of participation. During the show, two artists will be selected to have their own solo shows the following month and will receive a second certificate recognizing their achievement. Entry fee is $20.00. Work samples must be submitted as JPEG or JPG files only, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB, with sRGB color profile. The show runs September 1-30, 2022. International submissions are welcome.
