About This Call
The 6th Annual Avon Arts Celebration takes place in the Vail Valley community of Avon during peak July season, attracting affluent visitors to Vail and Beaver Creek. As the only art show held between Vail and Beaver Creek in July, it offers artists access to a high-net-worth audience in an area where the median property value in Avon is $631,800 and neighboring Beaver Creek boasts a median home price of $725,000. The event is unique in the Vail Valley as the only show where guests can stroll between booths with wine or spirits in hand due to special local permits.
The show accepts all forms of original fine art and fine crafts including painting, sculpture, metal, glass, printmaking/drawing, ceramics, mixed media, jewelry, wood, fiber and photography. Artists must submit 4 digital images of their work plus 1 image of their display setup. The application fee is $50 per category (non-refundable), with booth fees ranging from $475 for a single 10x10 space to $999 for a double 10x20 with two corners. Artists must be present to exhibit only their own original work, with picture ID required at check-in and only white tents allowed.
The jury process involves 4 jurors scoring applications on a 1-10 scale, with approximately 100 artists selected from around 150 applications annually. Applications are viewed on computer monitors and sorted by submission date within each medium category. The jury process is closed to observation, and returning artists are selected based on their history of participation.
