AVA Community Art Center's 23rd Annual Art Matters Art Auction

AVA Community Art Center's 2025 Gala Fundraiser & Art Auction will feature forty-five (45) individual artworks in Live & Silent Auctions. Awards for Best In Show ($7,000), Second Place ($1,500), and Third Place ($500) will be allocated based on a juried selection process. Three (3) People's Choice awards ($100 each) will be selected based on public votes and announced during the Artists' Reception.

2D and 3D original artwork in any medium will be considered for acceptance. The submission fee is $35.00 (one payment for up to three artworks). Artwork dimensions are restricted to forty-eight inches (48") in any direction, inclusive of matting and framing. Work must be original and not previously shown at an AVA event or created over 2 years ago. Unacceptable work includes celebrity portraits, fan art, giclee prints, artwork from tutorials, direct copies, and work infringing on copyright. Each submission must include at least one high-resolution digital image in JPEG, PNG, GIF, or TIFF format (not exceeding 2400 pixels), labeled as: Artist Name/Title/Size.

Accepted artwork must be delivered to AVA between December 10-21, 2024, and must remain through January 31, 2025. Artwork must be finished and display-ready with professional framing (no sawtooth hangers, clip frames, or plastic framing). Artists must set Fair Market Value and Reserve Value for their work. Participating artists may choose a 50% or 75% commission split to AVA, or commit 100% proceeds to receive two gala admission tickets (valued at $250). Artists who are accepted must provide a short biography and may include business cards or professional links. Unsold artwork must be picked up by February 15, 2025; return shipping is the artist's responsibility. Commission payments for sold artwork will be distributed by February 5, 2025.
