Autumn Glow

Autumn Glow is a juried exhibition open to all artists in the United States working in 2D media, excluding photography and digital art. The theme invites artists to interpret autumn in their own way: "Fall looks different depending on where and who you are and we want to see a variety of interpretations of this theme. What does Autumn look like/mean to you? What are some places, people, or objects that glow this time of year?" The exhibition will take place both online and in person at the Rhode Island Watercolor Society gallery in Pawtucket from October 4th through November 7th. The juror is Kris Occhino.

Entry fee is $20 per entry for non-members and $15 per entry for members. Submit 1-3 digital images of your work. Acceptable 2D media include watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, collage, mixed media, monotype, egg tempera, and work on any 2D surface. Pieces may not exceed 48 inches on the longest side including frame. Work must be framed or professionally presented, with frames no wider than 1.5 inches. Framed work must be under glass or Plexiglass (except canvas, wood, or board pieces) and must be wired for hanging.

Drop-off and shipping dates are September 12th through October 2nd (Thursdays and Fridays 10am-4pm, Saturdays 10am-3pm). Notification of acceptance is September 11th. The opening reception is Saturday, October 11th at 1pm, preceded by a free framing demo at 11:30am. Pick-up is November 7th from 10am-4pm. Return shipping window is November 7th through December 7th. Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show, must have been completed within the last 10 years, and must be original work not copied from copyrighted material or created under the direct guidance of another or from a tutorial. The Rhode Island Watercolor Society retains 35% of sales.
