Authentic Marks: 2nd Annual International Miniature Printmaking Exhibition

Authentic Marks is an international open call for miniature prints, part of the 2nd Annual International Miniature Printmaking Exhibition held during Dubai Art Week. All practicing printmakers worldwide are invited to participate, including both professional and early career artists. Last year's exhibition featured original printmaking works from 18 countries, live printing demonstrations, and a VIP opening reception. This year will include awards of excellence for selected works.

Each artist can submit up to 2 original, hand-pulled prints completed in the past 5 years. All printmaking techniques and media combinations are accepted. Works should measure 11 x 11 inches in paper size. The entry fee is $30 per submission. Submissions must include high-quality JPEG images (72 dpi, 2-5MB) and may optionally include an artist's statement of up to 300 words. All online application materials must be received by February 22, 2018. Physical works must be delivered unframed by March 1, 2018 to: Printmaking Department, c/o Zayed University, PO Box 19282, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

All works will be exhibited and included in an electronic exhibition catalog sent to participating artists. Printed catalogs are available for the cost of shipping. All submitted works will join the Shaghaf Permanent Collection at the close of exhibition unless the artist includes return shipping costs. Works must arrive in excellent condition; Shaghaf takes no responsibility for works lost or damaged in transit. All sales inquiries will be directed to individual artists.
