Austin | Dama Gallery Exhibition

Dama Gallery, located in the East Sixth neighborhood of Downtown Austin, opened their Texas location in 2021. The gallery is positioned in a vibrant district that hosts the prestigious SXSW Festival and is surrounded by honky-tonks, dive bars, and iconic music venues. Dama Gallery's exhibitions and publications contribute to Austin's burgeoning arts scene.

Entries are reviewed weekly with selections made throughout the month by the curator. Exhibition lengths vary from 1 to 3 months, with the number of pieces depending on the artist's medium and sizes of selected work. Featured artists are invited and encouraged to attend receptions. A selected few may be invited for recorded artist interviews and/or panel discussions. Artists selected for exhibition will be considered for representation by Dama Gallery, which includes priority consideration for future exhibitions, professional consultation, portfolio assistance, marketing and promotional assistance, and online market inventory and website profile.

Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. All artwork must be original and unsold, with the artist owning sole copyright. Frames, mats, and wiring must be professional quality and in good condition. 2D artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each (maximum 20 images). Dama Gallery retains a 50% commission on sales. Sales remittance occurs 5-7 business days post-exhibition and/or upon buyer payment finalization. The gallery has partnered with ARTSY for online sales for the last 8 years.
