Aultman Health Foundation Seeks Artists for Creative Placemaking Project

Aultman Health Foundation, in collaboration with the City of Canton, Community Building Partnership of Stark County, and Stark Community Foundation, is seeking artists and artist/design teams to help improve the visual and functional aesthetic of the Aultman Health Village campus through creative placemaking. The project aims to create a vibrant, safe, and healthy transition onto the campus through creative and functional public artwork that will serve as wayfinding and beautification across the campus and core investment areas. The gateways, wayfinding, and creative placemaking pieces will become the first interaction between Aultman Hospital and visitors.

The development and implementation of art and design in the public sphere is integral to the City of Canton's revitalization efforts. Coordination with the Aultman Health Village Revitalization Project will encourage engagement and collaboration between artists and members of the community. The project will bring people together to discuss and create visually-captivating wayfinding and public art pieces to welcome visitors into the new Aultman Health Village.

All artists and designers in the state of Ohio are welcome to participate as individuals or teams. Applicants should submit 1-10 images of work samples.
