August Group Art Show

The Jones Gallery, located in the Kansas City Crossroads Arts District, invites applications for the August Group Art Show. The gallery is housed in a 100-year-old historically registered warehouse with 9,000 sq. ft. of display space and has been in business for over 10 years, open full time six days a week.

This group art show is open to 2D artists, 3D artists, and photographers. No reproductions of original paintings or drawings are allowed. The gallery will jury submissions and select 0, 1, 2, or a maximum of 3 pieces to exhibit. Artists may submit up to 5 images for review. The entry fee is $30.00. Artists must be 18 years of age or older, and all artwork must be original and for sale. Maximum artwork display size is 48" width x 72" height.

The exhibition runs Wednesday, August 2nd through Thursday, August 24th, with a First Friday Artist Reception on August 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Artists receive 75% of sales; the gallery retains 25%. Payments will be made by Friday, September 1st. Local artists should deliver work Friday, July 28th or Saturday, July 29th (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Pick-up is Friday, August 25th or Saturday, August 26th (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Out-of-state artists may ship work (artist responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance); all shipped artwork must include a prepaid return shipping label and be wired on back ready to hang. Unsold artwork will be returned within two weeks following the closing date. Artists must provide two tags per piece (no larger than 3.5" x 5") labeled with artist name, title, medium, price, city, and state.
