About This Call
Founded in 2020, Augment Music Project, a fiscal sponsee of Telluride Arts, is dedicated to supporting the local music scene in the Telluride area. Since 2023, Augment Music Project has been actively involved in Telluride Arts' annual grant program, providing the funding and grant committee for the music category. To date, Augment Music Project has awarded grants to 12 musicians/ensembles within the Telluride region. These funds have helped recipients advance their careers in various ways, including studio time, equipment purchases, and music video production.
The grants are awarded to support local musicians develop their skills and help fund their musical endeavors. Projects should provide clear community benefit. Applicants must live and/or work in the Telluride region and be 18 years of age or older. Musicians may apply as solo artists or ensembles; for ensembles and collaborative projects, only one musician is eligible to apply and must take responsibility for all deadlines and associated grant requirements. Applicants are limited to one submission per grant cycle. All Augment funded projects must be shared with the Telluride community upon completion.
Applications must include: Statement of Intention, Project Overview, Work Samples (literary, photo, audio, or video content), Purpose of Funding, Proof of Cost, Project Budget, and Community Benefit explanation. Selection criteria include quality and artistic merit, creativity and innovation, evidence of need for funding, realistic project proposal and timeline, and explanation of community benefit. Applications will be reviewed by a hand-selected panel of jurors from the Telluride community. Grants will be awarded and all applicants informed of status by June 5, 2025. Entry deadline: May 20, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
