About This Call
Auditions for Footlite Musicals' final show of the 2025-2026 season, "Kiss Me, Kate." All roles are open and available. Auditions are first come, first served with no prior sign-up required.
Audition dates are Sunday, March 8 at 6:30 PM and Monday, March 9 at 6:30 PM. Please attend only one audition date. Virtual auditions will not be accepted. Callbacks are Tuesday, March 10 at 6:30 PM by invitation only. Auditions take place at Hedback Theatre, 1847 N. Alabama Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
Auditioners must be 18 or older and should bring 16-32 bars of a song from a Golden Age musical that shows off vocal talent, with sheet music in the correct key for the accompanist. A change of clothes for the dance portion is encouraged. Please bring a list of conflicts. Most male-presenting roles will wear tights or form-fitting pants. The organization is committed to inclusive casting and welcomes performers of all shapes, sizes, colors, and abilities. No conflicts are allowed after April 13. A meet and greet is scheduled for Sunday, March 15 at 6:30 pm at Footlite. Rehearsal schedule will be determined based on cast availability. Performances are May 1–3, 7–10, 14–17. Director: Paula Phelan, Producer: Beth Swayze, Choreographer: Erica Wilkinson, Vocal Director: Lisa Reynolds, Assistant Directors: Jerry Beasley & Lauren Werne.
