About This Call

The Cloyde Snook Gallery at Adams State University seeks artwork in all media for a national juried exhibition titled "Atypical Topographies: exploring new approaches to landscape." The gallery invites artworks that challenge, reinvent, or chart new directions in concepts related to landscape art.

Eligibility: All artists 18 years of age and older residing in the United States may enter. All media except installation will be considered. Work must be original and completed within the last two years. Shipped work must conform to UPS restrictions: 130" girth plus length (crated) and 150 lbs. (crated). Accepted 2D artwork must be properly framed with plexi-glass or prepared for exhibition. No glass will be permitted on 2D artwork. Artists may submit up to 3 images for review. Entry fee is $25.00. Entries must be received by August 14, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

Notification of acceptance or non-acceptance will be sent by email by Monday, August 22, 2016. The "Best in Show" award includes a future solo exhibition at the Cloyde Snook Gallery. Exhibition dates are September 26 - October 26, 2016, with an opening reception on September 29, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. Accepted works will be insured while on university premises. Artists are responsible for round trip shipping costs and must enclose a prepaid return shipping label via UPS or FedEx. All proceeds from works sold go directly to the artist; the gallery takes no commission but encourages donations of 10-20%. By entering, artists grant the gallery permission to reproduce accepted entries in publications and media for educational and publicity purposes.
