About This Call

The Atlanta Print Biennial is an international juried exhibition open to all artists over the age of 18 working in hand-pulled printmaking processes. The exhibit is organized by Atlanta Printmakers Studio and hosted by Kai Lin Art, a contemporary art gallery located in the Westside District of Midtown Atlanta, GA. Purchase awards and prizes will be given.

Artists may submit up to 3 pieces at a $35 application fee. Work must incorporate at least one hand-pulled printmaking process; mixed media works are welcome, but exclusively digital prints or photographs will not be accepted. Framed measurements may not exceed 30 x 40 inches (76.2 x 101.6 centimeters). Atlanta Printmakers Studio members receive a $10 discount. The entry deadline is January 14, 2017 at 12 Midnight Mountain Time Zone. Artists will be notified of their selection after January 31, 2017.

Accepted work must be received between February 22-25, 2017 and remain on display for the duration of the exhibition (March 15 - April 14, 2017). All work must be professionally framed, wired, and ready to hang. The opening reception will be held on March 16, 2017. Artists will receive 50% of retail price for any sales, consigned with Kai Lin Art. All shipping and insurance costs are the responsibility of the artist. Artwork will be available for pick up or return shipping after April 15, 2017. The jury is Sydney A. Cross, a retired Distinguished Alumni Professor of Art from Clemson University with extensive experience in printmaking education and leadership in the Southern Graphics Council.
