Atlanta Print Biennial

Atlanta Printmaker's Studio announces the second Atlanta Print Biennial, an international exhibition of works on paper co-presented by the Barbara Archer Gallery and Erikson Clock.

The Atlanta Print Biennial is open to all artists over the age of 18 working in print media. Work must incorporate at least one hand-pulled printmaking process. Mixed media works are welcome, but digital prints and photographs are not accepted. Framed pieces may not exceed 40 inches in any direction. Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 entries. Submissions must be complete by October 1, 2013. Work will be juried by Beauvais Lyons, a Chancellor's Professor at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Artists will be notified of acceptance by email after October 18.

Purchase awards, gift certificates, and cash prizes totaling over $2000 will be announced during the opening on November 15th. Accepted work will be exhibited at Erikson Clock in Atlanta's Historic Castleberry Hill Arts District. The exhibition runs from November 15 to December 7, 2013, with an opening reception on November 15. Accepted artwork must arrive at Erikson Clock between November 4-8, 2013. Sales will be encouraged, with artists receiving 50% of retail price when consigned with the Barbara Archer Gallery. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. Work may be picked up on December 9, 2013, or returned via prepaid shipping if a reusable container with return label is provided. Works not claimed within 30 days of the end of the exhibit will become the property of Atlanta Printmakers Studio.
