About This Call
The Aspen Art Museum Artist Fellowship provides a mentored professional development opportunity for six artists (from emerging to established) living and working in the extended Roaring Fork Valley, including the communities of Parachute, Rifle, Silt, New Castle, Glenwood Springs, Gypsum, Eagle, Edwards, Avon, Vail, Marble, Redstone, Carbondale, El Jebel, Basalt, Old Snowmass, Snowmass Village, and Aspen.
The fellowship cohort meets twice monthly for facilitated studio visits, conversations with visiting artists and curators, and interaction with AAM staff. Over the course of the program, artist fellows develop a project or presentation and share their work with the community in a public program. The program runs from October 2024 to June 2025. Fellows receive an honorarium to support their project.
Six artists are selected through a locally juried application review process. Artists working in any medium and at any level of artistic practice are eligible. Applicants must be 18 years of age at the start of the program and must live in one of the eligible communities listed above. Work sample requirements: minimum 10 images (maximum 10), plus up to 6 audio files and up to 6 video files (total samples between 10 and 16). For more information, email [email protected].
