About This Call
The Aspen Art Museum Artist Fellowship provides a mentored professional development opportunity for six artists (from emerging to established) living and working in the extended Roaring Fork Valley, including the communities of Parachute, Rifle, Silt, New Castle, Glenwood Springs, Gypsum, Eagle, Edwards, Avon, Vail, Marble, Redstone, Carbondale, El Jebel, Basalt, Old Snowmass, Snowmass Village, and Aspen.
The fellowship cohort meets monthly for facilitated studio visits, conversations with visiting artists and curators, and interaction with AAM staff. Over the course of the program, artist fellows develop a project and share their work with the community in a public program. The program runs from September 2023 to May 2024. Six artists are selected through a locally juried application review process.
Eligibility: Applicants must live in one of the specified communities, be 18 years of age at the start of the program, and artists working in any medium and at any level of artistic practice are eligible. Fellows receive an honorarium to support their project. Work sample requirements: minimum 10 images (maximum 10), with optional audio (0-6 files) and video (0-6 files) for a total of 10-16 samples. For more information, contact [email protected].
