About This Call
Artworks Great Barrington is a juried outdoor art festival and makers market held August 7–9, 2026, at the Great Barrington Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) grounds on Route 7/Main Street in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. A portion of all proceeds supports the Great Barrington VFW. The event is produced by Richard & Joanna Rothbard, owners of An American Craftsman Galleries, who have a nationally recognized record of success with the 25-year-old July Berkshires Arts Festival.
The show features two complementary sections: a juried fine art and craft exhibition designed for professional artists, and a separate Community Makers Market for local and regional makers, emerging artists, and those with limited inventory or experience. All work must be handmade in the USA or Canada by the exhibiting artist. Accepted categories include 2D Mixed Media, Ceramics, Drawing, Fiber-Wearable, Fiber-Decorative, Furniture, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, Mixed Media, Photography, Painting, Sculpture, and Wood. Artists are selected based on originality of design, technical expertise, overall aesthetics, and presentation.
Application deadline is April 10, 2026. Application fee is $45 (non-refundable). Jury notifications will be emailed by April 18, 2026. Booth fee payment is due May 15, 2026. Outdoor booth options range from $395–$650; Big Tent booths range from $695–$1,390, with corner upgrades available. Electric is included. Move-in and setup are Wednesday–Thursday, August 5–6, 9 am–6 pm. Show hours are Friday–Saturday, 10 am–6 pm, and Sunday, 10 am–5 pm. Amenities include drive-up booth access, onsite exhibitor parking, free camping, online artist listing, show guide with advertising opportunity, and overnight security.
