ARTwear

ARTwear is a juried competition open to international artists working in fiber and textile arts. The competition is juried by the Fiber Art Now creative team, including Lori Butanis (creative director and graphic artist), Barbara Delaney (editor and former managing editor of Cloth Paper Scissors magazine), Beth Smith (managing editor and exhibitions director), and Cami Smith (media manager and contributing editor).

Artists may submit up to three individual works of art. Entry fee is $40 for up to three entries; Fiber Art Now subscribers receive a discounted rate of $28 with code WEAR2024. Submissions must include full images only (no detail shots, close-ups, or alternate views). Images must be 5MB or less with no dimension restrictions. For each entry, provide the title, materials, technique, dimensions (listed as Height x Width x Depth in inches), year completed, insurance value, retail value or NFS, photo credit, and an artist statement of 120 words or less in no more than five sentences. Images should have a flat neutral background and be photographed straight-on with natural daylight or professional studio lighting.

Juried selections will include one artwork per artist. Prizes include First prize $500, Second prize $400, and Third prize $300. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be provided by July 31, 2024.
