About This Call
ARTview 2008 is Washington DC's sixth annual art auction and exhibition taking place on November 6, 2008 at Constitution Hall. The event is designed to showcase emerging and established artists and support unity in the arts.
The national call is open to all artists working in painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media. Any format and style is acceptable, including digital, alternative processes, collage, and montage. Maximum finished framed size is 30" x 40". Artists may submit 4-10 images. Entry fee is $20.00, with an additional $5.00 media fee for additional images beyond the first four.
Selected artists will have their work highlighted at the evening event. Artists will retain 50% of sales price, with SJCS retaining 50% as part of its fundraising campaign. The price indicated on the entry form will be considered the retail price of each image; artists are recommended to price work $1,000 and under. Juror is Stephanie Moore, director of visual arts for VSA arts. Artists will be notified by October 4, 2008.
