ArtTracks of Palestine, TX, 2026 Sculpture Installation

The 14th Annual ArtTracks Sculpture Installation will feature 12 sculptures spread throughout the commercial downtown district of Palestine, Texas. Selected sculptures will be placed on private property visible to pedestrians and vehicles, positioned among murals and historic properties in this community settled in 1872. Each sculpture receives a stipend of $1,200 for a two-year stay through early March 2028.

Sculptures will be highlighted in tourism maps and featured at the Dogwood Trails Festival, where thousands of guests attend street festivals in the last weeks of March 2026 and 2027. Additional festivals throughout the year will showcase the installations. Because sculptures are spread throughout the downtown area with many located on highways and roads, prominence in style, color, and size impacts viewership. Anonymous jurors from the ArtTracks Sculpture Committee will review and select artwork, working with artists to place pieces in optimal locations.

Eligibility: Art must be 6 feet tall or taller. Only artists displaying their own original works are eligible. Selected art must be available for display for 24 months through early March 2028. Applications require a $30 entry fee per sculpture. Submit at least 3 JPG images (front, back, and best view) and optionally one video per application. Do not submit sculptures unavailable for inclusion or multiple sculptures under one application. Jury selection is anonymous. Entry deadline: March 5, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Jury dates: March 6-8, 2026.
